Fortune is in the Follow up

In this week's episode we talk about follow up and specifically with buyer leads. I want to tell you a story.

A few years ago I sold a home to a couple that had come into an open house.




What's interesting about that story is that I never actually met them. A team member of mine who moved to a different city met them at an open house and then left the real estate industry.


I never met these people.


AND they never returned my calls when I did my follow up steps.


BUT I kept doing the steps. I kept sending the emails, making the calls, leaving messages, etc.


One day they emailed me back and said we're ready.


You see every day when we get to work most of what we are doing is nurturing and staying top of mind. When the person calls or emails and says I am ready. That's not luck or coincidence. It's hard work and consistent effort over time.
